Remix of the Day: Squeak E. Clean - “You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Beyond Infinity Remix)”
DJ Sam Spiegel returns to form with a Pixar-approved splice + dice of Toy Story 2 footage to the tune of the film series’ much-loved anthem.
[thanks sarah!]
I now want to go home and watch Toy Story.

I did a post on Pogo a little bit ago, but his newest mix, inspired from UP is some of his best work yet and even got sanctioned by Disney.
Proceed to boogie.

If the Sebastien Tellier’s “Kilometer (A-Trak Remix)” doesn’t win “Remix of the Year” by every organization that recognizes such a category, I’ll eat my hat.

I’ve been talking a lot about A-Trak lately, especially how I dropped the ball on the release date of his latest album.
Found this little gem on the Kanye West “Sky High” remix album. I never cared for the original very much, but the production in this version is straight fiya.
I’m going back to dancing now.

If There Is Something I Love as Much as a Remix…
It’s sampling. Usually the basis for a lot of remixes, they each have their own special place in my musical heart. My new sampling love is with this little electronic piece made 90% from “Alice in Wonderland” just simply called “Alice.”

I love remixes. Remix anything, I bet I love it. Remix music I hate, I bet I still will love it. This is how much I love music remixes.
Searching around today, I find a drum & bass remix of a Notorious B.I.G. song that just really hit me. To find it to an accompanied video makes it that much better. The energy of the swing dancers just seems to be electrified even more so as the bass hits.
Here is Voidstarrunner’s drum & bass remix of 10 Crack Commandments.
